Metaverse Leaders
Zuckerberg’s Facebook (aka Meta) will spend at least $10B this year on building out his vision for the metaverse. Most recently, Meta has built an AI Supercomputer named RSC, standing for AI Research SuperCluster.
Nvidia added more capabilities to its collaborative metaverse platform this past November. That includes the ability to build “digital twins” of cars, robots and other real-world projects to help speed development.
Microsoft laid out a metaverse vision that is built within Microsoft Teams, pretty soon business meetings will occur in the metaverse as Team’s services 145 million active users (Q2 2021).
The metaverse will require hardware and tons of computing power. The Oculus VR app was the most popular app in Apple’s App Store on Christmas Day and Global metaverse-focused ETF assets have grown to $2.2 billion.
